We wanted to go see George Strait concert in January but the DW says tickets start at $175 a piece.

Wow. Out of my price range!!!

The prices these entertainers are charging are outragious. I paid $27.50 to see the King and it dont get any better than that.

George is surely a favorite and truly a great artist. Butů I refuse to EVER pay the outrageous prices for most entertainment or sporting events. No thanks, I'll see it on the tube instead.

The only reason they can charge so much is that the market will bear the fare, and I don't expect that to change any time soon. Too bad it has become that exclusive and out of reach for so many good fans.

cheers,
Joopy

They will pack the place. Many won't think twice about paying that to see their idols, the promoters certainly know how to manipulate their victims.

Well this is his farewell tour. So fans that had never seen him look at it as this will be the only chance so will pay outrageous price to do it.

NOT ME!!

The ticket sellers are the ones that are raking in the dough. They are pricing the general public out of shows.

We seen Merl Haggard last year at the Cannery in North Las Vegas for $14 a ticket. Ol Merls still got it, but any time he performs it could be his last. only about half sold out. Also seen Garth Brooks at the Wynn in Vegas last year. All seats were $350 a pop and he was always sold out. Took us six months to even get tickets. George is coming to Wichita and we would love to see him, but he sold out very quick also.

I'm going with my son next Friday to see Willie Nelson - for the second time, saw him about five years ago - not sure how much the tickets cost, it's a gift! Lucky me.

Would love to see George Strait! Smooth dude

As much as I admire George Strait, the only way I would pay $175 for a ticket is if it were a private concert for me and my wife.
Sorry George....
