Getting it Off My Chest

On or about February 25th my wife and I were northbound traveling through Needles on our way to Bullhead City. You and your companion were traveling in the same direction and passed us just as we left the city limits. Your companion passed properly and didn't attempt to get back in the right lane until he and his toad were well clear of our unit. You on the other hand decided to cut over when your rear end was still beside me and your toad was alongside our motor home.

You were extremely lucky that your Jayco and CRV were not involved in one heck of a fender bender. I pulled off the road to change underwear and then proceeded on our way. I don't travel fast but at Lake Havasu I pulled along side of you as you turned into the campground you were headed to and that's when I noticed your IRV2 sticker.

Mistakes happen but I believe you may focus too much on keeping up with your buddy and not watch what's going on around you. I waited to post this because I didn't want to be too angry when I wrote. Please fella do the rest of us a favour and please remember that it matters that the 30 or so seconds it would have taken for you to determine if you were clear of me and it was safe to pull over. If I didn't have great brakes neither of us would have still been enjoying our travel time.

Please slow down and look around you when you are wandering the highways and byways,

Glad to hear you are still on the right side of the grass,
You have a lot more self control than I do. I would have been banging on the door with my Fish Bat.

Great Post and I really hope the person who did this reads this and apologizes on this thread. I think that you used great restraint in both waiting this long to post this as well as not confronting them when you saw them again in Lake Havasu. This is a common occurrence with both regular vehicles and some RV'rs who always seem to be in a hurry to get somewhere and don't have courtesy for others, or are just simply not paying attention to what they are doing. Kudos to you, an I'm glad nothing bad happened for both of you.

At one time that would have been my comeback. I like to think I have outgrown that.

Huh?

Not doubting your story in any way, but...

If you were northbound from Needles to Bullhead City, how did you end up in Lake Havasu?

Confused by the geography.

Just followed my GPS. Actually I just checked my route setup and you are correct. I transposed Parker for Needles and went on from there. I was headed north on 95.

This is one of the reasons I have a dash cam now just in case...................

The information is out there, all you have to do is let it in.

Today we were on a motorcycle ride with another couple. On a dirt trail paralleling the main road was a guy going our way on a cross-over type motorcycle. He seemed to be having a good time but was kicking up a huge cloud of dust that the breeze blew out onto the roadway. All of the drivers had trouble seeing through it.

As chance would have it we all stopped at the same convenience store. I'll tell you it gave me great satisfaction to confront him right then and there about his cloud of useless dust. He was speechless.
