At home and on the road, I cut my own hair. After all, I've got 74 year's experience at being a Barber.
I always leave a generous tip to ensure a good job next time.

Being as you have been cutting hair that long, I assume you are not a Cut by Number Barber but are What I call a Real Barber. Have you ever heard the request for your number? That was a new one on me.

I bet they've got a chart on the wall showing different styles of cuts, each with it's own number. Just like going to McDonalds!

The number refers to a guard they put on the clipper prior to attacking you.

Best haircut. Rosy at Ruiz Barbershop in Los Algodones, Mexico. $3.00 Not only does it look good from the start but grows out really well.

I walked into Great Clips and asked if they had anybody that can do razor cuts. There is one girl that does. She asked me what length I wanted it cut and I told her to use her own judgement and she did a great job. Even my wife thinks so.

The only time she asks what number I want is for my beard and the number depends on whether it is summer or winter.

When we are out of town on the road I don't worry about it anymore. Before I retired I used to get my haircut every 2 weeks.

haircuts

My wife has cut my hair since before we got married. I don't really know how she learned to give a haircut, but she does a pretty good job. Besides, I'm 1/2 bald, so if she makes a mistake, I just wear a hat for a couple of weeks and no one knows the difference. Add the fact that I simply do not care if my haircut may not be perfect this time, and I'm good to go.

Funny, the day I walked out of my office for the last time, I left my watch on my desk. That was my way to cut the cord to office schedules.
