We will be there, but plan to camp at Killens State Park. Too hard to predict the fall weather and do not want to take a chance of getting the motorhome stuck in the mud.

This will be our first time. What I have read is they kind of mow the corn field and you park on the husks, etc. sometimes it is muddy and sometimes hard as pavement.

I think it is like a 20 minute drive. Not sure how long it will take the day of the event. We plan on heading in early.

If I was sure the weather would be o.k. I would put down the $$ to stay at the Chunk. But when we booked Killen's last week that was starting to fill up for a November weekend, so we will just be there and on the safe side...

I didn't read all the recent responses for this years Chunk. I'm going again this year. I'll be parked in the corn field. Any of you who are going to the Chunk please look for my RV and stop by and say HI. I fly an American flag with an inflatable space shuttle flying under the flag, on the back of the RV. I also have an iRV2 sticker on the back of the RV.

Parkin' in a corn field to watch Punkin Chunkin should require all iRV2 members to rig blue tarps to recognize each other.

p.s. I've been to Punkin Chunkin and it's quite a show.

We changed our reservations to the Jellystone in Lincoln, DE. Not sure if we will attend the chunk or not. Three young kids & mud maybe more then I want for the weekend. Most likely take in the sights & shopping of the Rehoboth Beach area.

It is not a bad campground, but not a motorcoach resort either. We have only been there one other time and it was o.k.

We have an 8 year old son, 6 & 3 year old daughters.

I linked a page with their activities for the weekend.

With the local state park campgrounds being closed - it is the best option, but you will need a car to get to the chunk from the there.

Punkin chunkin has been postponed one day. It is now only Saturday and Sunday. Friday is only going to be a setup day. Click the Face Book icon on the punkin chunkin website. That is where I found the info.
