Golf cart fees😠

I might be alone in this but campgrounds that charge a 25.00+ golf cart permit fee burn me up. Now they talk about liabilities, well they require insurance so where is the liability? What about all the other campgrounds that don't charge a fee,are they just gambling? No, this is another way to get more $$ out of our pockets. I would rather just pay a higher rate then be lied to and cheated. OK rant over.

Just another way to milk the cow. "Hold on Bessy, don't kick". If you stay there and pay it it's up to you. I'd do neither.

As soon as I discover it, I let them know why I won't be going there. There seems to be an epidemic of greed in gettysburg, they all seem to do this. I very seldom go there because of their high rates and golf cart charge.

Could be they are attempting to limit the use of carts without banning them. There are a couple of RV parks that I no longer stay at because I personally don't care for the endless parade of carts with exceptionally loud & sometimes offensive music constantly blaring.

Are carts of disabled folks exempted?

They better be.

You cannot charge for Federally required ADA access.

For fun...ask them.

Send an email with a simple question like "can I bring my cart?".

When told yes but we charge $$$$ you reply with "I am disabled and this is my primary transportation as scooter not able to load in mh, would not those be exempt?".

When they state everyone is required to pay then thsnk them snd check with whomever has jurisdiction.

By the way in Ca there are low lifes that sue lots of companies for stupid things like toilet paper 1 inch too high or low and settle for thousands.

Many companies have been run out of buisness due to this...stupid stuff but you may be able to get their attention.

They did this a few years ago in the Miami area.

Maybe a new revenue source for disabled?

Finding a lawyer shouldn't be too hard.

To me there is a distinction between a scooter for a disabled person and a golf cart. Just wondering how a mh is able to load a golf cart and not a scooter? Have seen a zillion scooters being transported using the hitch of a car or toad, mh, 5th wheel, etc.

I saw a CG charging $5/day for golf carts, electric cars, etc.

That I could believe. If we bring the chest freezer to Alaska they charge us extra for that, but freezing 17 cu ft (450#) of fish does run it constantly.

I used a miniature golf cart for my outdoor, soft surfaces. It looks like a golf cart but is only about 3/4 as big. http://www.ricksesv.com/

I have a smaller mobility scooter for hard surfaces, such as in stores.

Charge me extra for my out door cart? Ban me from using it?

Can I get the name and addresses of the owners please?

My lawyer will need them.

This such a violation of the ADA it is a slam bang for some fast cash.

Boy do I know which you are referencing. We do not go very often because of it.
