We are getting it here in BC too!! Maybe not that bad, but close. We moved away from here for awhile and have just moved back. It is taking some getting used to. Where we lived in Alberta before moving back here it is -15 celcius and they have been shoveling snow. I guess the rain isn't so bad!

Lived in Oak Harbor Washington for 11 years. My Brother in-law used to say the only thing blue in Washington is the people....

Sorry about the rain. Send your brother this map.

Only part of the state is wet and blue. The entire eastern half is dry (and red). I drew a line for him

In my part of the state we get 6 inches of rain each year

I always wondered if the people on the west side of the mountain had webbed feet.

Yuupp, Web feet and hands and our tans are rust colored.

Up here in our area,we got enuff rain to cause some good flooding and then in Port Orchard it was an extremely high tide and when the rain run-off met the high tide in downtown,it really got wet.

We're heading for Fort Worden this PM for our Thanksgiving. We'll leave here around 1 and check in about 2-2:30,set-up down by the water, reheat the food I cooked yesterday and then sit till Sunday.

Great trip 90 miles roundtrip and $6 a nite winter olde guy pass.

Y'all have an absolutely awesome Thanksgiving and hope that we'll see a lot of you at next springs Meet and Greet.

The little town of Sequim WA has (had) a sign claiming they were the driest spot in Washington State but a place called Fort (with arrow pointed thataway) was only 17 miles away up in the mountains which laid claim to being the wettest spot in Washington State.

We get lots of rain here in Port Alberni, but compared to Henderson Lake about 15 miles down the inlet we are comparatively dry. They get about
Quote:
Greatest precipitation in one year. 9,479 mm, (31.06 feet) Henderson Lake, B.C. (1997)
an average annual precipitation of 6,655 mm or 21.834 feet annually. Here in Port Alberni we get around 1798 mm or 5.89 feet, most of which falls when I'm trying to work outside.

That KM Resort is nice in the Summer. It's our home park too. But it seems like hip boots are in order! Did you see the pictures of the flood that they had a few years ago?
That's the reason we spend the Winter in Vegas instead of Tacoma Come on down! Plenty of Sun just waiting for you!.

My DW lived in Vancouver BC for 20 odd years.

She was of the opinion the map makers had made a typo, it wasn't the West coast, it was the Wet coast.

We were out there for the 2 weeks one July, it was sunny the whole time, her Uncle dropped us at the airport and said "It was nice you could get the spend the entire summer back here again."

It has been sunny, little to no snow and temps in the single digits. Guess the
jet stream gave us a break for a while.

Seriously?

I looked em up. Sequim gets just under 15 inches per year whereas many places on the other side of the state get under 7 inches.

Busted!

Myth busting again are we?? I just stated what I had read. May have to go that way again just to get a picture of the sign for you.
