I wonder if this was mounted with VHB tape to the outside of the coach near the door, if it would have made the thieves go after an easier target ?

Agree. Plus in our Bounder, the engine has to be running to put the slides out.

It could have been worse......

They could have harmed your dogs or stolen your coach.

You may want to contact Amazon and and ask them to locate your Kindle. They used to have a 'Find My Kindle' app similar to Apple & Android devices but it looks like it might have been discontinued. There may actually be something in the Kindle Store that can be pushed down to your Kindle with out the theives even knowing it?

Here's one : http://www.amazon.com/Tracker-Kindle.../dp/B00839EIGW

There's probably more.

I've used an android tool to find my wife's Samsung S4 and it is accurate to within a few feet. I located it in a room and then told it to 'scream'. The software I installed to do this was free and included basic virus/malware protection. AVG Mobilation.

At the very least you should de-register the Kindle. But once you do that there is zero chance of finding it.

What a bummer, sorry to hear of the loses. Yes glad the dogs were okay, I worry about them more. I have heard of LOWLIFES that steal the littler ones to train the big ones to fight. 1st we don't have slides too worry about!!! and 2nd we don't have or wear jewelry. I would be sooo Pisxx off I would kill the guy or gal. Show no Mercy sore-ta-speak.
We have a dead bolt and a regular lock and we have wood dowels in the window track. It will keep the honest people out.
Again sorry to hear this. Very upsetting for sure.

Yes it has a dead bolt also, but habits are hard to break and it wasn't locked. It is now and will always be locked. This, or those low-life scum-bags have done this before to RV,s, because they knew that valuables for women are in the bedroom. No one in the area could have known our habits because we were new to this area. They were watching us. Insurance will cover the theft but my BH,s sentimental belongings cannot be replaced. Where ever you are, scum bag{s}, may you rot in &^%%*(.

Boy they'd be disappointed assuming "the good stuff" would be in our or many of our friends bedrooms. No way. Not in our RV; not in our homes. Where is it kept? That's our secret & no it's not one of those fake kitchen containers.

OP stated it was Bradenton, so I am assuming it was Bradenton, FL.

On my coach my slides work on battery, will not operate if the engine is running. On my door I have two keys, one locks the door and the other is for the deadbolt. The deadbolt is specific to the coach whereas the door lock key will open any Thor Palazzo RV, maybe more models. We tried it at the Thor Diesel Club rally last year. After finding this out I always use the deadbolt when I leave the coach.

Sorry for your loss!

Hindsight is always perfect vision...but being a biker as well we always park within sight of the dinner table, double-lock the door, 380 automatic in pocket.

That stinks...sorry for the loss. That's right in our back yard. We live in St Pete in a S&B for now...
