Diet seems to be the key for many. Especially cutting out refined foods containing fructose. Surprisingly, eating cherries is suppose to help a lot.

You should see a doctor, but he is probably going to tell you that what you need is a lifestyle change. Cut the beef and seafood to once a week, alcohol intake moderate and you should notice a difference. Exercise helps also. (I swim 3-4 days a week, easy on the knees and other parts.)
Drugs just relieve the symptoms, lifestyle change should be the cure.
That said, I still get a minor flare up now and then; I take it as a sign I need to get back on track.
Good Luck, I hope you feel better soon!
X2 on that. Better to change lifestyle to a more moderate one, than take pills.

Is one supposed to use Black Cherry or Sour Cherry juice? I don't suppose using the appropriate Cherry juice as a mixer for Vodka would be considered beneficial? Kiddin' mostly!

I've had this stuff in both big toes for years. Went through Naproxin (Allieve) and a bottle of Johnnie Walker Black trying to get rid of it. Found out one of the triggers was asparagus, I'm sure there are more.

The majic pill I now take is Indocin and it works pretty good but you can't drink the Scotch and take the pills at the same time.

The generic name of Indocin is Indomethacin and 25mg seems to work for me.

Good luck with this crippling arthritis.

Sometimes the best advice comes from experience.
Some are not actually giving advice, but making reference to information.

either one.. they say (Google) it is the malic that helps flush the uric acid.
that is why they also say apple cider vinagar (deluted).

and why wine is not as bad as beer.

also, my Dr said the dark meat in turkey is just as bad as beef.

as was said" golden days. HA!
