Saw a great one yesterday on a 4 lane highway that was just paved. There were no lines yet, just those little squares that the liner uses. Every few miles there was an orange sign "CAUTION: NO CENTER LINES".
Now I don't know about you, but I just used one of the 5 senses available to me, primarily sight, to confirm that the sign was correct. If a driver needs a sign to tell him there are no lines on the highway, I'm concerned.

You just have to imagine that there was a lawsuit somewhere that someone claimed they weren't warned that there weren't any center lines. Like most of our stupid laws, there is probably a reason.

You and I use common sense, others use lawsuits.

Might have been a good idea to have included the entire name and that it is a memorial.

There is an overpass over I-10 west of Phoenix for Sore Finger Road (I'd love to know how it got that name!).

When they were installing the pelican monitoring system for the cause way bridge between Port Isabel and South Padre Island, the signs that would be used in conjunction with warning lights were installed before the warning lights.

The first time we saw the sign we figured it had to be a warning for the college spring break crowd.

The sign states "Watch for Pelicans When Flashing".
