In my home town in England, there's a tanning salon called "No White Bits".

In Jacksonville, FL in the 1950s-60s there was a funeral home on Riverside Ave. which offered cremation services. The name of the establishment was:

"Getter & Burner Funeral Home"

A makeshift sign taped over the sign on the swimming pool entrance gate explaining why the pool was closed.

In case you are unable to read it, here's what it said:

"The pool is closed because someone pooped in it. The pool will re-open tomorrow morning."

There was a place here in Houston you could see from I-10; The name on the building was "Glass Factory". From the road way, the building to it's left stuck out a lot in front and blocked off the first two letter of GLass. I was sure disappointed when I stop to see what they were selling.

In east Texas there is a very small meat processor and market, a bit north of Canton. His sign on the side of Hwy 17 said "You can't beat my M***!"

Not far down the road from Disney in Florida there was a Chinese restaurant with a big sign out by the road. The name of the place was "Fu King Restaurant". It was obvious that the sign had the paint in one area renewed.

I don't know if the last two will pass the smell test or not.

There's another of those here in Oregon. It's in Wilsonville and its Wanker's Corner Saloon. Odd collection of Australiana and Americana scattered throughout the place and the foods decent and the the peanuts are plentiful and the floor crunches when ya walk (From the peanut shells!).

Here's they're website: Wanker's Corner

The Vietnamese food name thing is a bit of an old joke. One of the most common laughs is seeing a Pho restaurant named "Pho King". Pho is pronounced "FU", you do the rest.

Another from my home town. There is a "Morrisons" supermarket with very large, internally-lighted letters. They're divided between three breakers, M-O-R, R-I-S, and O-N-S. After a thunderstorm last year the breaker to the middle three letters tripped, so the sign read "MOR ONS".

I see the AmIGone Funeral home here in Western NY has already been mentioned. The real name, by the way, is Amigone. We also have two other funeral homes worthy of mention. We have Bury Funeral Home and one of my favorites, Curtain's Funeral Home, as in it's curtains for you. One other local business that was special was Seymour Optical. Now there's a results oriented name.
