We are going to go down to South Carolina area to visit and see the Greenville area. A move may or may not be in the future?? We'd like to talk to folks who have professions in programming. My hub works for a major corp who hhas taken over the company he worked for 24 years. We'd like to know how others like the area who have moved there from elsewhere . We live in New York upstate country. The only thing I'm worried about is tornadoes/ bugs and snakes, other than that I've been to the south once and thought the coast and inland in N.C. and S.C. were great. Any feedback really appreciated, I'll return it if folks need info on upstate NY, Vt. Mass or NH and Maine- have lived and camped in all those states. Thanks

I am not in the programming profession,
But i moved to greenville area (simpsonville) in 1990, From Detroit Mi area( Sterling Hights)

The area is very nice the people are nice just about everything is nice only 3 hrs from thr mountains and beach. Tornadeos not any more common than any where else, bugs not bad at all
and i have only seen 2 or 3 snakes since i have been down here and i walk in the woods all the time. and to far inland for the hurracanes to hit here, just high winds.

Let me know if you need any thing else

Mike
