Punxsutawney Phil did NOT see his shadow this morning and has predicted an early spring!

It's about time. The only way he could have seen it today would be from all the media lights. Ready for spring here.

So instead of having six weeks we are only going to have a month and a half.

The midwest and northeast have so much snow, it will take at least 6 weeks to melt.

He would have had a hard time seeing his shadow here in Dallas also. Yesterday it was 22 degrees and snow and sleet on the ground. Right now it's 15 degress (was 10 degrees) and not supposed to get above 20 or so today. Won't be untill Friday afternoon before the temp gets above 32 degrees and then only for a short period of time. Hope is not lost, the forecast for the SuperBowl is for 50 degrees. Can hardly wait so I get out of the driveway.

19 below 0 in Parker, CO this morning. Our motorhome is in Yuma waiting for us. Why are we not there? I ask myself that every morning. Soon. Very soon.

Buckeye Chuck didn't see his shadow either. Come on spring!!!! Poor thing, rousted out of a nice warm inside sleep to be brought out into the icy, windy weather today.

They may have meant that, but what they printed was:
After casting an inquisitive eye towards thousands of his faithful followers,
He proclaimed that the Steelers are going to the Super Bowl!

Well I for one am ready for spring. Bring it on! Anyone risk a prediction for the up coming summers weather patterns? I say sunny and hot cause that's what I want. Now only if it worked like that.

The problems are not over. All that snow will melt and become water that has to go somewhere. With all the drains clogged with snow and ice it should get interesting.

Personally I don't give a GH's "A" if Phil saw his shadow of not. Ground Hog Day is something that we have all lived throughout our lives and I ain't firing Phil even through he's only right 39% of the time.

What I am excited about is that when Ground Hog Day has arrived that spring is almost around the corner and it'll soon be a whole heck of a lot warmer out. I'm liking Ground Hog Day better than Thanksgiving Day if only for the fact that it's closer to March 20th!
