Halloween

New to RVing, I've never been out over Halloween. However, at home for 30 years I have developed a form of insurance which has stood me in good stead.

I buy $2.50 to $3.00 goodies for the few kids that live within several houses of me, and $1.00 candy bars for everyone else. It costs me about $20 a year. Now think about it.

Kids have grown up appreciative of that nice man who lives on the corner, gone through their teens, and off to college thinking I'm a great guy.

Their parents think I'm super, too, smile and wave, and I can't think of anything I could do which would pay higher dividends.

Older kids? They get 'em too, as long as they last. Seem to understand.

At a buck a candy bar the park I spend half my summer at you'd spend about 1,000 on candy. Different parks, different amounts.

I know the one year we passed out candy I had 5 pound bags and a big bowl my wife sat next to and I was dumping bags in the bowl dang near fast as I could open them.

Check with park management as to how many kids to expect and buy your candy at the bulk stores, Sams, Costco or Gordon Foods.

We prefer to stay at adult oriented parks and go out "Drink or Treating" with the neighbors
