An 8 year old girl from CA who left the trail. Been on that trail and there are many signs warning you not to leave the marked & maintained trail.

My thoughts go out to her Family. I Remember when I was eight, My Dad was home on Leave and took me to see the opening of The Sound of Music, Then afterward the
Ships were in Port on the Willamett River. Was raining and the deck was very slippery. Almost went in under the wire on a sub. Dad caught me by the Shirt collar.
