Amanda and Blake are as decent as they come, as American as Daisy Dukes and NASCAR. They were so ernest in their rendition, had put so much rehearsal time into getting ready, it breaks my heart to see them dissed.

I don't think anyone was dissing them on a "personal" level, but I think those in their defense are making it personal. I am sure they are wonderful people. The performance was critiqued, not their personal lives. Some should try to separate the two.

I'm sure they sang the song with respect and with the best of intentions which is more than this post is starting to show.

Maybe now is a good time to think about how what is posted is perceived by those who read it before things are posted that can not be retracted.
