Do you mean Kelly Clarkson? I think she did a great job on the anthem. I didn't care for the country singers in the beginning, if that is who you meant. The anthem is a very hard song to sing, and I think Kelly did it very well. Much better than the last few I've heard sing it.

I'm always amazed at how fast they can get those stages out on the field and then off again.

I totally agree. I am not a fan of hers either, but I have to say, she worked hard to put on a great show, and it WAS a great show. She is definitely a perfectionist. I don't think some of the former half time acts really practiced (Black Eyed Peas for one).

I heard she did it for free too, not that she needs the money, but was surprised she didn't get anything for it. But I assume the promotion of her new song will be worth it.

People I was talking about the murdered rendition of "America The Beautiful." A choir director sitting here watching the game simply stated "Oh my aching ears."

The guy was passable but the young lady was a disaster. BTW I'm no singer but I could have matched that performance.

You know you're getting REALLY old and miserable when you dislike a show that was the most watched show of all time and the country singers (country music listened to by 41% of the US population) Miranda Lambert and her husband Blake Shelton sang a great rendition.

you don't have to be old to not watch a football game..this is modern times..right? Barbarianism (throwing people to the ground) went out how many centuries ago?
I don't need to watch a bunch of over paid illiterates (for the most part) who were given passing grades in school even though they hadn't learned their academics nor patronize their supporters.

Well DD we will have to agree to disagree. In 50% of the USA service area the only thing available is C & W so that little fact kinda skews the results. I installed a multi disc CD player in my unit because on a trip to Maine a few years ago I went days with nothing but C & W on the dial. I will not be force fed anything especially nasal noise.

Just because someone has different tastes that you or the majority doesn't make them old and miserable.

I've been a student of history my whole life. To date, I've found no evidence of "barbarianism" having gone out. This is, of course, very unfortunate.

GO STEELERS !!!

Ya know, just about all TV's are equipped with mute buttons, channel changing buttons, volume control buttons, and power on/off buttons.

X2 well said. I dont care for country because every song sounds the same seems all they change is the words then sing it through their nose,
