Happy trails Betty!

Yesterday we paid our last respects to a dear friend, Betty Clark, from Corinth, MS. We met Betty and Joe Clark while camping at Dewayne Hayes Campground here in Columbus several years ago. We became good friends immediately, spending many fun nights around the campfire. Joe and I not only have the same name, but the same birthday! We never saw Betty without a big smile on her face. She was a joy to be around. She fought a 2-year battle with a brain tumor and God called her home this week. We know she's up there in Heaven brightening everyone's day with her beautiful smile, probably picking out the best campsite and getting it ready for us! We miss you Betty!

This is one occasion I can never get used to. Let's say in my school days I was constantly hounded to play linebacker... I'm not afraid to shed tears during the occasions, because that's what "real men" do.

Your faith is apparent and encouragement to all. We join you in celebrating Betty's life and certainly understand her faith played importance in her life and to those she cared about. We are blessed to have friends like that for sure!!! Comforting prayers for Joe, family and friends. Jim & Trina
