On this special Holiday, I just wanted to say to all of you, both living & passed, who served our country. Without your sacrifices & the sacrifices of your families, we would not enjoy the freedoms we have today.

Thanks for the well wishes. Sure isn't the same as when we came home.

I too must add my thanks to all my fellows Veterans, and your families, on this day that acknowledges your service and the sacrifices you all have made to protect the freedoms this country enjoys today and in the future.

The times they are a changing!
Back then the youth of America said they were embarrassed by those that served in the military!
Today, those same people are old enough to appreciate what you did, now their embarrassed by what they said!
It takes a Generation to appreciate what we used to take for granted!

I accepted a free veterans entree at Applebee's today. The jovial, friendly atmosphere was something to make a veteran smile. Even this college town seemed to share that atmosphere. I felt honored to share a meal with WWII, Korean, Vietnam, and other "conflicts", veterans. Some of these men were old enough to be my Uncles, some young enough to be Grandsons. Thanks again Applebee's, and thanks to all my brother veterans!
