Unhappy Has SEAJAY abandoned ship?

Seajay where are you? Anyone Know? I haven't been a member of this group very long but have read all his stuff. Need some new Seajay to read. Hope all is well.
I spent 4 years on the FDR CVA 42, a Vietnam vet and 6 years active duty as a Navy CB 2nd class Builder. And yes I thank a service man or woman in person every chance I get.
Would welcome the chance to meet you someday soon!

Larry

Well whatever the handle for him, how about someone sending him the message that we miss him over here. He been gone too long as it is. I'd do that request, but I have no idea what handle he goes by at RV Net.

I'll email him and tell him you love him and miss him. Heck I might even call him on the phone and send him kisses for you.

I also miss Seajay's posts.

He doesn't have anything against you, but he was asked to move on.

He is on RV.net.

I communicated with Seajay by email, just so he would know that he has one friend.

He replied that he is truly honored by your comments, and he asked if I would do one favor for him. He asked that I post his email address on this forum and to tell ya'll that he is on rvforums dot net as Seajay.

Then he get to crying and said, "Strange as it may seem. I miss the friends I knew on Irv2, I had some good vibes over there and I really miss the "banter" between me as a Sailor and that other group we use to haul around on our ships but such is life I guess..."

He also said that given the opportunity, he would re-register in Irv2 so he could communicate with friends over here.

He told me not to get my butt (not his word) in a sling by posting this. See, sometimes he's even nice to me.

seajaycecil atsign yahoo.com

p.s., in another communique, he gave his blog for anyone that is interested:

www dot seajaythesailorman dot blogspot dot com (Now ya'll will have something to do.)

I too have read and enjoyed SeaJays posts and noticed him being absent lately.

At the risk of stirring up trouble, does anyone know what he did to be asked to move on? I never saw anything from him that could be construed as offensive enough to be shunned...

BTW, my favorite story was the one about helping his dad to fix the car (his hands were the 'only' ones that could reach... my dad used this same line on me as a kid!!). I would love to hear him tell a story around the campfire!

I'm shocked. I thought the reason I had not seen his posting was because I had not been on much lately. Thanks for the info.

There are members who for what ever reason(s) no longer post on iRV2. The bottom line on the situations I am somewhat familiar with is that some "take their ball and leave" and some are asked to "move on". While the reasons may differ in detail, the bottom line is that the member repeatedly violates the forum rules so severely that their continued use of iRV2 can not be allowed. Or they do not agree with the rules and will try to do what they feel is "right".

Personally, I have been involved in posting situations where I have run afoul of the moderators. While I could have acted like those who have left, I decided to stay and do the best I can to provide value to members while containing myself to the rules of the forum.

iRV2 is a privately owned, for profit, business. Just like any other business one interacts with, the business has rules one must follow. Once one understands the rules to participate, one can make the decision as to their participation.

I've also gotten my *** in a bit of a sling over this subject. To the extent that I did take my toys and go home, at least for a while. If you read the fine print at the bottom, this is no longer an enthusiast owned friendly place, it is a corporation owned advertising revenue generator, and the corporate muckety mucks who profit from it decided we had to only talk about RV's. No politics, no current events, no relationships, no friendships. stay on topic and all that.

For a while, I searched for other places. In fact it was me who suggested rvforums dot com to seajay, and strangely, while he found some comfort there, I found the place packed full of old fuddy's who were no fun at all.

Also I like the android app they have here, I use it at lunch a lot.

Sorry Don. i've been told, up close and personal, by the Admin here, that it is also against the rules to discuss the actions of the Admins and Mods.

This site is a private enterprise, we post here at thier pleasure.
And I do like posting here.
