Not going to offer up any advice, just wanted to let you know that I'll pray for you brother! My wife is the same way as yours when it comes to our middle son. (her first) He is a good kid but makes bad decisions... I almost have him convinced to go into the Air Force which will help him a lot.

Good luck... Hope everything works out for you!

Those that have not been there and give advice don't have a clue what its like.
And thats my two cents worth. And I'll stick with it.

These folks don't know the fear of answering a telephone thats ringing, a knock at the door and wandering what is on the other side, a police patrol car going down the street and holding their breath till it gets by. getting the mail out of the box and looking to see if theres a court apperance date in it.

Hey Jim.....I've read through your past posts on this subject (July 30/11, Aug. 18/11, May 10/22) & clearly this is problem that has been festering for years. Are you getting tired of doing the same thing over & over again? Do you think it is time you starting getting some help? Is venting your frustration on this RV Forum helping? Do you think it is time to start moving forward by taking some constructive action?

Just curious?

As long as your DW continues to take his side there will be no change in his demeanor. With well over 30 years as a LEO I have seen it time and time again. A"Tough Love" attitude by you towards your son and your wife to me is the only solution. Why do we alienate the good ones by over indulging the bad? Age old question without an answer.

Hang in there pal we are with you.

Don

There comes a time in everyone's life where they must grow up and be held accountable for their actions. Excusing this "manchild" and letting him get away with what he does is not a healthy thing for him. He will always be an immature child if he does not have to face the results of his actions.
Almost all of our WWII vets became fine citizens due to the fact that they were held accountable for their actions during the war and gladly grew up and stood tall.
Make this baby accountable for himself.

Sorry!!

I shouldn't have posted MY problems on the OP's thread!!

OP, report the break in along with what you neighbor observed or let the police interview him. Then let whatever happens happen. Kid needs an "intervention" and this might be a perfect time.

Your right Sky_Boss, but I have stayed at a Holiday Inn Express, and feel I am qualified to express my opinion on the subject of this thread, just as you and others have.

Who is judging actions? I expressed my opinion on the entertainment value of the thread. Am I not allowed to do that?

Yes, and getting "entertainment value" out of someone's real life suffering shows us a lot.

I don't think Dieselclacker was taking any delight from this thread, his statement that he too has been in a Holiday Inn meant to me he's been through something similar as well. I don't take it that he is getting any enjoyment, he's just very interested to see that others have experienced a similar situation.

But I could be wrong, as I often am.
