We must have gotten our defective calendars from the same vender. Our backyard looks about the same.

You can't get spring, and we jumped spring straight to summer (89* as I write this). Can't win this battle with mother nature.

The lawn care company just left a message on my answering machine saying they'd be out tomorrow for our first treatment. I'm guessing they haven't looked outside.

Pool guy called Monday, said he'd be out yesterday to open the pool.
can they do that when the pool is this cold?
I sure ain't running the heater yet.

Camping in the finger lakes in new york this week, alone and on business. Their spring is even later than ours in Chicago!

I don't know it must have been warm enough to swim here because I was sitting in the computer room unstairs when this car pulled into the parking lot next to the trail head. Four guys got out. Three took off their shirts and had shorts on. Nothing unusual since our road is popular for joggers and walkers. Then that got into the creek but not very long since our creek is spring fed and on the hottest day of the summer can be bone chilling. I assume this was their version of the polar bear swim or a dare.

We still have 2' of snow in our front yard. Starting tonight we're supposed to have a rain/snow event begin and last 24 hrs. We're on the south side of 4-8" of the predicted snow.
