Bacon tasting happens this afternoon with a couple of mutant friends .. a ritual of the highest order and seriousness. There will be no frivolity, no, absolutely none, no, nuh-uh!

What? "After" pics? You want pics of empty containers? Contented smiles, maybe!
Sue that - just too much this fine mutant morning. I want some.... I am drooling.

Jim Gaffigan's bit on Bacon...

This clip is hilarious. You have to sit through 5 minutes before the bacon bit comes up, but if you haven't seen it yet, I'm willing to bet you'll be laughing for those 5 minutes too!

It's about camping, waking up, and ...wait for it... bacon!

He's an awesome comedian

Ted

Poblano poppers require a ka-nife and fork! Jalapeņo cream cheese in 2, plain in the other 2. Both delish.

Main course: 3 more bacon dishes, 1 nuked, 1 baked, & 1 fried; thick, thin low sodium, & British. Any of those with lettuce, tomato and a ciabatta roll.

Homemade ice cream followed.

Pics to follow. Cheers!

My buddy from San Antonio could be my official taster. He's already turned green around the gills, hasn't he?

Gaffigan is right: the rainbow ends at that tray of Bacon. Or emanates from it, maybe. Now I'm confused. Again.

So, for BBB and others holding their collective breaths, here's proof it happened:

Hey, cj.... Show us pics of YOUR bacon, too. We don't care if it's fried, baked, broiled or boiled; plain or fancy; smoked or uncured; candied, curried or made into baklava!

Same goes for anyone else passing by this thread. If you care enough to pause here, you must like Bacon!

Woot! You tell em Sue, and I am sure - if anyone could whip up some bacon baklava it's you! Smokey - salty goodness - sweet sticky honey, nuts and a flaky pastry too boot. Hmm. Bacon wrapped or mixed in... the mind boggles at the endless potential of bacon.
