I've been baking up a whole 3# package of bacon pieces and ends at one go, then using it for flavoring beans and so on. It never lasts long enough to make it into the freezer, which was my original plan. We snack on it, either zapped in the microwave or straight out of the fridge.
It isn't far different from the packaged jerky we bought last week. And it's a whole heckuvalot cheaper!

Granddaughter just brought me a package of turkey bacon, I love her dearly but some things just shouldn't be tampered with. I guess I'll have to try it to keep piece in the family, man the things we do for the kids.
