DH is down to his last pack of English bacon. Horrors! He bought a 5# box of it several weeks ago. It came, cured in Ireland and packaged in England, frozen and carefully nestled in a cocoon of dry ice. Super!

In the meantime, funnily enough, he's discovered he actually likes American bacon. That same stuff he knows as streaky, that he's been denigrating for years. Now I can't keep him out of it!

Of course, the streaky he keeps snitching is what I've already cooked. A no-work no-brainer, wouldn't you say?

OMG, Sue! Have you created a turn-coat? Do his fellow Brits know? Eek!
How many years did it take?

1) since it's 10 AM here on the dry coast,it must be 1 PM on the other coast and if anyone went to the bacon fest, they should be trying to stagger out of bed by now. How was it?
2) I did 1/2 # of good smoked deli bacon, chopped up a couple of slices and sprinkled it over a couple of pancakes cooking in the bacon grease. Then a couple of fresh eggs from the neighbor's chickens basted in more bacon grease with honey butter cinnamon toast to clean it all up.
Would've taken a pix, but too busy eating it before the DW came home 'cuz I would never hear the end of it.

Go Hawks !!!!

1) Wai-wai-WAIT a minit! I thought you were in the Pacific NorthWET! What's with the "dry coast"? Seasonal drought?

2) Yum, what a great breakfast! All but the carbs, I'd have helped you polish that off! You get the pancakes & toast and I get the bacon, right? That's fair, isn't it? We could share the eggs....

We get eggs from a friend nearby, too, and there's (almost) nothing better. Especially with a side of bacon. Or should that be bacon with a side of eggs!

Don't worry about pix; we get the picture. And, of course, if you beat your spouse's arrival, DW didn't!

Cheers!
Sue

Sue we've been alternating wet <--> dry for a few days now up here in the northwet; gotta love that. Usually we start developing webs and gills about mid December. The good part is we get to pretend the sun is just coming up all day and therefore can host about ten breakfasts a day. Hmmmmmmmmm more bacon..

Had rasher bacon from a local bbq place, canadian bacon surrounded with smoked bacon, eggs fried in the bacon grease and waffles baked with bacon slices in it for breakfast. (you lay slices of bacon on the bottom of the waffle iron and then pour batter over the top. Or you can use real bacon bits if you want. Pancakes the same way with bacon bits sprinkled over the top along with your blueberries and then flipped.)
Gotta eat well as I'm all hooked up for a solo trip to Portland to see the GGS and my 92 y/o aunt and then she and I are heading for Astoria on Tuesday after having dinner monday night at Chacka in Portland. Staying at Jantzen Beach.
