And now, in my turn, your ramblings have incited my own salivary glands to demand bacon. They have caused me to bake up a whole 3-pound pack of ends and pieces, the better to snack upon. Mmmmm! Your fault!

Cheers!

Did Cracker-barrel today.... Thick bacon, country ham biscuit, gravy biscuit, eggs with chees, hash brown casserole, grits with butter, apple cinnamon scone....

Talk about what makes my butt look bigger... I think the bacon is the least of my worries...

Got a problem. I think I like only plain ole bacon flavor. Maybe maple on occasion. Does that make me ... oh, I don't know ... a mutant?

I was going through the Coach yesterday and and noticed a package of the precooked microwave bacon that still had a few pieces left in the zip lock bag in the fridge. It had been there since Labor Day with the fridge off in storage. My first thought On No. But the pieces of bacon still looked just like it does in a fresh package. No signs of spoilage or order. Makes you wonder what they put in this stuff.

You gonna be at GC in April? I'm bringing 20lbs of bacon that will change your mind on that. Guaranteed!

Mutant? Possibly.
I mutate as I shop along and let my spur-of-the-moment eye-to-brain smell simulator do the choosing. But when unsure, I buy a selection of bacon that is always thick-sliced, and smoked with hickory, and apple, and maple, and alder, and lets not forget pepper cured.....yikes....hungry!!
Yes, definitely Mutant!

Mmmmmaple! Nix on the peppered; Martin's peppered bacon is safe from me! Hickory, maybe.

I need to learn to cure my own. Can't be all that difficult, can it?
