Funny but this morning we had hickory smoked, three-pepper cured bacon, cured with coarse groung red, black, white peppercorns. Was going to brag and post a pic of it here, but....:( snarfed it GONE!
Sue, if you cure your own bacon, you would need to cure a very large quantity as there are curious bacon-o-files that would track you down! Perhaps if you cured it in a secret place like underneath Funk and Wagnals porch. Oops! Guess "there" would not be secret enough now!
Needless to say, there will be eyes a watchin infn y'all build a smokerhouse!

About this time yesterday, ABC news had a segment about bacon scented pillow cases. No doubt invented very recently by someone on this thread. Not I.

My pillow cases smell like bacon now. So does the entire motorhome. Another unnecessary product... or a way to drive oneself crazy when no bacon is available. Oh the humanity... no bacon available. Someone is in deep kimchi - hmmm kimchi with fresh bacon bits...

I'm starting to think that some of these threads are potential rewrites of "A Never Ending Story."

Flaggship 1, how could you use the words bacon and kimchi in the same sentence? If I close my eyes and think about it, I can still smell that stinking rotting cabbage and I haven't been exposed to it for 6o years.
