after trying to no avail to get your rv card on the online site was told to get it in any of your places of business. tried 4 times in oregon and nevada being tolds "oh we are out" no discount have to take credit card inside . is this just a scam to save a couple of dollars and send your customers to loves, ect was able to secure one in utah but not sure it was worth the trouble since no one seems to give a darn about rv's

Hi beaverfever,
You've had quite a time obtaining a Frequent Fueler Card. Deep down inside you must be a RV Real Value Customer. Many would have quit, but you persevered. Congratulations!

Did you register for the pump start feature while you were at the store getting your card? Being a Beaver owner, I'll bet you'd like the benefits the Frequent Fueler Card can provide you. There are a couple of things for yo to complete.
1. Go to post #1 and follow the instructions to register your card.
2. The next time you are at a PFJ location take the card to a cashier and register for the pump start feature at the truck diesel pumps. The cashier will need to see your driver's license.

After these steps are closed, you're Frequent Fueler Card will start the truck diesel pumps. Just remember to follow the process documented at the PFJ link and post #1 in this thread. The pump price will be the cash price and a .03 discount. enjoy

According to post #1, once an RV card is registered, Pump Start is available without further action. That's the way it worked for me.

Hi CactusJohn,
That is new news to me. Thanks for the tip. I'll check it out.

On Edit:
You are correct. I have edited the post to contain the correct information. I have also sent an email to PFJ to ensure the post is correct.

Why the pump start feature was activated for you without presenting your DL to a PFJ cashier,,,I do not know. I will update the thread when I receive an answer from PFJ.

Now I'm confused. I can't find any place that says to take the registered card and DL in to have pump start initialized except in the May7 edit of post number one. I don't find any of that info on PFJ website or any of Lynsay's postings.

Do we need to take the card in or not to activate pump start?

Got diesel today at Murphy's Dalton, GA
Put my Gift card in and got 3Ę off, paid $3.929 a gal.

Small station but was doable with toad attached.
It will be on my list for September return.

I think this is getting way more complicated than it needs to be. I registered my existing card on the PFJ site and pump start was automatically activated. Here's a portion of a post that Lynsay made on the TRVN forum:

1. The Pump Start feature is available immediately once your card is registered. There is no 500 gallon minimum before the feature activates.

2. Pump $ cutoffs:
2a. VISA Auto/Car Lanes = $150.
2b. VISA RV Lanes = $495.
2c. MC, Discover, AMEX Auto/Car & RV Lanes = $75.
2d. Payment method does not matter at the truck pumps. Truck Pumps = $750.

3. Payment method is not a factor for starting the truck pump.

4. Payment method in cash or check at the RV/Auto pumps will require one to go into the store to get the pump started.

5. There are no limits on the amount of discounts one can earn.

Thats similar to posts she has made various places but now on a May 7th edit to the original post (1) the registered card must be taken inside and registered again with a drivers license. I'm not real keen on a PFJ "clerk" having my drivers license number. I also can't find on the PFJ website anything about taking your registered card in with a DL to re-register.

The biggest problem that I have seen about this subject is that the managers in the service centers are (NOT READING THE COMMUNICATIONS FROM HDQS) and then passing on the info to the employees.

I registered my old FJ RV Value card online, but it wasnít easy. (I can understand why others are having problems with the process--it needs a lot of work.) When I went to a FJ and asked the cashier to activate Pump Start, she said the system was showing that it was already active. I then logged into the PFJ website and saw that the Pump Start status is ďActivated.Ē

I havenít actually used the Pump Start feature yet, but Iím not optimistic that it will go well.

Hi Everyone,
For those posts after post #230, I join you in the confusion. Please be patient while I get an answer from PFJ. I should have an answer on Monday May 9.

Just curious, who made the May 7th edit to the original post (number 1) and where did that information come from?
