History Repeats

I've always found it interesting how history has a way of repeating itself. I believe that society continues to deal with the same problems and issues it has for generations and generations. Checkout the news headlines below then read the dates they were published.

Many people think it was Ben Franklin who said, "Those who don't learn from history are doomed to repeat it."

My google searches reveal:

George Santayana, the philosopher, is known for his (often-misquoted[citation needed]) comments: "Those who cannot remember the past are condemned to repeat it"

Depends on ones definition of historical events. Everyday happenings are not considered history, at least by me.
