Honda CR-V Trailer Hitch
I have a 2011 CR-V EX-L and just bought a Reese Trailer Hitch for it. It just bolts on, no drilling, but I have to drop the muffler to get the hitch bolted up. To drop the muffler it says to remove the rubber isolators from the muffler hangers. Looked easy until I looked at the rubber isolators. There is no nut or bolt that I can see.
Anyone done this before and could you guide me through removing the isolators.

The Honda CRV has a towing capacity of 1500 lbs.
East to overload.

I installed the hitch on my 2011 CRV EX-L . The muffler hangers will slide out of the rubber holders. You might work a little dawn or other soap on them to help them slide out & back in. I did it and it was not a major effort. There is a nob at the end of the hanger you have to push through the rubber isolators. It was a couple of years ago and I don't remember it being a real problem. I think once it's off the hangers it drops about 8 or so inches.
I have an enclosed car carrier that weighs about 4K empty. I have slowly moved that trailer with the CRV but wouldn't consider towing it with the CRV.

Thanks Bob, that is what I was looking for. I ran into a close out on this Reese Hitch for 143 and change delivered to my door in 2 days from amazon. Sure beats paying Honda. I'm well aware of the towing limit, even though the hitch is rated for more. The trailer I'm going to pull is one of the 5x8' at Lowes. It weighs 450 lbs, so that still gives me enough for the dump or other things you always need after you sell your truck.
And the good part is in my State, no registration & plates required.

That 1,500Lb limitation is a "lawyer based" number... the same vehicle in the UK is rated at 3,000Lbs towing capacity!!

Sound like another battle you could have with the government.
