Thank goodness for fireplaces and coiled oil heating machines...motor gone in furnace, but it is UP to -20 *C = -4*F took off my winter coat (indoors)

WOW, thought it was cold here in Idaho. We never got above ten degrees here today and the wind has been around 20 mph all day which works out to -9 with the new wind chill chart.

Going duck huntimg in the morning, suppose to be -3 with winds around 20-25, that works out to -26 wind chill. Should be good hunting.

I am glad I started this tread. Great day to you all and stay warm to most of you!

I am more south of Edmonton (Fort MacLeod area, the COLD came down and stayed we had 3 days and nights of -41 including the wind chill As you can see from previous post it hasn't been a good week... new furnace motor tomorrow or Tues. pipes froze when they thawed the hose from the fresh water pipe to the toilet blew off and filled the room with freezing cold water... and that was the latest in a line of awful ... next winter is in the interior of BC where I can have my winter and enjoy it too!! S&B is gone!
My friends in Edmonton are a lot warmer than we are and that is more than unusual
We seldom get such cold and then only for one or 2 days scattered over a couple of months.

Will be good duck hunting in the morning for sure!
It's 22 in Arkansas. Not to bad! Wish we were duck hunting with you. We just haven't had a chance yet, and Our lab, Gunney, knows it's the season. his grudge is getting bigger...

-8 here (southeastern SD). Been colder than normal for about two weeks. Really tired of the cold and we have several months to go. Those south Florida temps look so awesome. We are jealous.

Oh, and by the way, 3 limits this morning for ducks. We had a great time and the dog just loved going in the water to fetch um up!
Come on down I have a spot open next to me.
