How far south is enough for the winter
Got the motorhome ready for traveling south this winter finally. We will continue south until the first person asks us what that is on the trailer.

Great question . . . I wondered the same thing and created a High/Low temp map for the US . . . US 12-month Temperature Map.

Go south until you STOP seeing road signs that say 'Bridge freezes before roadway'!

We were in the Rio Grande Valley last winter. The bridges still had the freezing warnings on them. BTW, we had two nights with a low of 38 degrees. Never did see frost.

Techwriter, a great and fun to look at chart! After getting the RV we started going to Florida's gulf coast, and ended up going south until the front wheels were getting wet. Then we found a place to park near Marco Island.
I too have one of those snow thingies, with flat tires, using up space in my shed.

Thanks Techwriter for the map. I'll use it to decide when it is time to move North.
Based on the map and the cities you chose, I assume you are not much of a corn belt person! Me either, and I grew up there (Illinois)!!!
