Newbie fixing to purchase my first used 38-40 ft RV within 6 months- are 2003 Travel Supremes models reliable?

ANY used RV will only be as good as the maint. that's been done to them. This is why I always tell new prospective owners to get the maint. records. Without them I'd walk away. It would be nice to be able to trust people....but that's not always the case anymore.

I agree, TS was, is a good coach but w/o records not so much. You could spend a bit of change using due diligence. If buying used I would spend the bucks on survey and fluid analysis regardless of records.

BTW.

Also rigs 10 years and older are being scrutinized by age at some parks. Had to send pictures of ours and had to wait to see if we were accepted. It was an 05 Everest in great shape. Sold it because we didn't want to deal with the age thing.

Thanks for info ... What is or how do you get a survey and fluid analysis? Who performs this service and what would a person expect to pay for this service?

Blackstone, yes, CAT or Cummins shops all provide kits. A heavy truck service in your area will have information. Also, they can most likely handle the analysis as well as drive train and engine inspection. Price generally for the house and chassis about $400 or less for each entity. A RIVA tech is a good one for the house. Try a local mobile repair service. He or she needs to be reputable and hopefully RIVA certified. Do not use Camping World for any of the above! JMO but well thought out.

The TSs are great coaches ... but as said before ... how well it was taken care of ...
A thorough inspection and maintenance records will help alot ... and if buying from a private party ... getting to know them a bit will help ....
Good luck with your search ....
