How hot is it in Texas?
Well.... It's 8:30 PM and I just finished cutting the grass over the septic tank and along the side of my RV Barn. So, I jumped in the shower and I didn't even have to turn on the hot water.
The main water line is about 10' below ground. My water line runs about 100' feet before in enters the building and about another 100' before it comes into the rig.

Our water pipes are in the attic and you cannot put your hands under the "cold" water until it has run enough to clear the pipes.

The "feel like" temperature for Houston was 112 degrees yesterday. My pool feels like hot bath water and the thermometer on the wall was reading 120 degrees in full sun. Can you say "too hot to tolerate"?

Just now heard on the weather, Death Valley, CA = 134*F actual. I have a cousin that lives just across the highway from the entrance to the "park". He wants me to come visit_

Poor babies!!!! All my friends in Georgetown have been complaining this summer about how hot it has been there. Up here in western CO where I'm spending the summer, it has been in the 80s during the day and 50s at night. Beats the heck out of temps in the 100s every day with high humidity. THAT'S why I leave Texas during the summer! Golf is more enjoyable and so is fishing (other than the pesky mosquitos).

Wish I were with you... might even learn to play golf. Well maybe I could just drive the cart and hand out the COLD beer.

To all my Texas friends, you should talk to all my AZ friends. They tell me if I want to know what a cool spell is in AZ, that I should turn my oven on low and crawl into it for an hour.
The only person I know who likes the TX heat lives in San Antonio and he loves sitting outside in the shade.
