Question How Long? (Camping Season)

Here in the Northeast, camping season usually runs from mid April to Columbus Day weekend, when does camping season end in your region?

Whats a camping season?
Seriously, I have camp any place any time of year all my life. Thats just my take on the life style.

Same as being a biker, I don't have or observe a riding season, I just do it/live it all year round.

Anytime you're in your RV it's "Camping Season"! That being said, here in Kentucky, late December thru probably end of February, it's libel to be below freezing at times, so if you're camping, you'd better be prepared!

All year long for us here in San Diego CA. We just do not do Borrego Springs CA in the summer. It's 99 in Borrego today Aug 7. But will drop to 70 tonight.

I "winterize" our motorhome by backing it into my heated shop and closing the door. That's because even though it will get down below 0 for short periods, we'll also have a few spells between December and March when we see highs near 70 with lows above freezing. Those are the times we love to get out because the State Parks are abandoned. We get the choice spots with nobody to bother us!

We, like the OP are Northeasterners and are also relegated to the mid May - mid October time frame as we just don't have the 'need' to be a full, or nearly so, timer even though we are both several years retired. Do we wish our season was longer - of course, but we both have other interests besides our 5er so use that down time to pursue them. We have discussed pulling our RV out of the 'normal' Dec.- Mar. snowbank where it spends the winter and taking it somewhere warm for a few weeks, but our other interests .....

I'm solo (widow and now retired). Even though I have a 16 year old son, still in school and he can care for himself, I'm here to take care of him. But when the need arises to hit the road, I stock the fridge for him and will be on the road for at least two weeks or less and then back home. He's a good kid. He is not the camp type of person. But camping season is all year long here. I think this winter when he gets a school break we'll hit somewhere that has snow on the ground.
