Willas LUXXOR
Not exactly an old car but a nice hand built re production of an old car I guess. It is a custom built Luxxor. Kinda of a combination of an old Rolls, Bentley, Mercedes and a 47 Nash Rambler all rolled into one with the top laid back I guess. It was a birthday present for My Willa because I think I forgot her birthday the year before. It is almost 19 feet long and fun to drive and a real challenge to parallel park if you only got one space. We get all ''spiffie'' and go up to Blowing Rock with the 3 dogs hanging out of the back seat and ''drag main'' and watch the rich folks and the tourist gawk and take pix. Sometimes we will find a parking place on the main drag and we will take the puppies and walk up to the park and just sit and watch the people looking at the car. The kids and old folks especially love the car. The car is daily transportation when we are home.......

I love 1940 ford convertibles, as I drove one in high school. I am also restoring one also but I haven't gotten to far as something always comes in for my free time. The 1937 ford is the first hot rod I bought as could not afford a 1940 at that time and were hard to find as it was before the internet. Trying to attach pictures but it didn't work. Any suggestions

I submit that I've owned classic cars for more of my life than anyone.
Got my first car when I was 3 (1961). A 1940 Pontiac that my grandmother left me. My Dad had bought it for her in 1944. My parents kept it in the garage for me, and would often take me and my pals on rides. I did a schlocky "restoration" on it when I was 16, and unwisely sold it to buy a ratty '68 Mustang Shelby GT500. Fun car for a teenager... I learned to drive (1974) in the 1952 MG TD my Dad bought when I was 13. Did a gorgeous restoration of it in 1990-93 and still own it. Some day I will have to decide which of my kids is worthy of owning it.
Along the way, I've owned several fun classics:
1953 Cadillac Coupe de Ville
1969 AMC Javelin
1971 240Z
1968 Corvette convertible
1973 Jensen-Healey
1968 Ford Bronco (ex Mickey Thompson driver)
1961 Lincoln Continental
1972 Lotus Europa
1958 MGA, stuffed a Buick V6 in it.
1945 MG TC
1979 Seville (still own)
1971 Triumph GT6 race car, currently own and race with VARA
On my list to get:
1970 Mustang Mach 1
1970 GTO hardtop

If '76 is an "antique" then maybe I should take it easy with my Pinzgauer 712M.

Back in the 80's and 90's I had a 1969 Datsun 2000 Roadster (SRL311). That was a fun car to drive. Datsun said top end was 121 MPH I had it after a tuneup at 142 MPH (and still climbing) when I had to shut down because I popped one of the ragtop latches.
