I live in Whitetail country but I especially made comment to my wife how the moon must have been in the right phase this morning around 9:25 because I saw several deer in a five mile stretch somewhere along the highway in our rural NETX count of Red River.

We see deer regularly walking through our yard - but tonight, while heading out, I nearly hit a 6 point buck. I caught him in my vision while I was coming around the corner, stopped and watched him for a short while, before honking at him to get him back into the woods.

In our area there are a lot of deer. Do not always seem them. But see signs of them everywhere.
People that drive in our area that say they never see a deer are the ones to worry about. It's just a matter of time before they will find one on their front bumper.

Saw this one yesterday less than a 1/2 mile off I-78 Exit 11 in NJ.

When we're out walking our two Labs in a morning, it's not unusual to see 10 or more in neighboring yards. There are two which regularly come right up to our front window and stare at the dogs inside.

We'v had to move most of our flowering plants into the fenced back yard or there minus their flowers real quick. The deer seem to be particularly fond of chrysanthemums.
