How's the summer going?
We're getting ready for our last big trip of the summer to Top Sail State Park in Destin Fl. We'll be there about a week and then a couple of weeks later its back to school for the daughter in August. We'll be doing a few short trips on 3-day weekends after that. We're also looking at maybe going to Stone Mountain near Atlanta.
Been a hot summer and really glad I have 3 ACs. But I'm longing for cooler weather with no AC roar and open windows.
Next year we're thinking making our reservations up in the mountains somewhere. Spring break is around easter. Wondering if its too early to be going up to North Georgia mountains?
How's everyone else doing?

We're sweating with temps at 95-98 and heat index 110-115 here in MS!
Stuck at home right now because of medical problems. Will be going to Maggie Valley, NC for the month of October and can't wait!

We used to have a house in Rabun Gap GA just north of Clayton. Many times we went during spring break, which, at times, was the end of March. We weren't in a RV, of course, but I don't remember it ever being that bad. I would think you'd be fine, especially since next Easter is the middle of April. We've stayed up there in the MH in Nov. when there was a light snow and did okay.
We're having a great summer so far...currently in Charlottesville VA with our real destination being Bar Harbor ME in August. It's been warm, but certainly not like central FL or Charleston, SC. Boy, that place was awful! I think it's worse than FL.

We sure can use this rain though.
We were on the other side of Canada last summer so we missed all the heat then.

DW just got a liver transplant on the 5th. That pretty much takes us out of camping for this year and part of next.

Just got back from out west, New Mexico, Arizona, Colorado, Utah, put 5000 miles on the MH. Was nice, hot in the day 80-90, but 40-50's at night and dry. Especially like Durango/Silverton. The west is for me.
Ready to head back out, pretty much ruined FL for me, does every time. Might stay in the east next summer, but definitely head north. Like north Georgia and Carolina's in the Fall will try and get up there some.
Love that 40g Discovery, the 2017 LXE's look real nice with the Girard awnings and Firefly system. Perfect bunk floorplan except not sure if I could deal with the length, some nice places I went this summer 32ft was pushing it!

Wow! Congratulations! This is the first I heard your DW got the transplant!
Missing camping is a small price to pay! I am very happy for you both!

Bought a used Bounder last November, too it on its first big trip this summer. Went to the Black Hills, Little Bighorn Battlefield, Yellowstone, spent a couple days in Utah visiting my niece (southern UT) and an old friend (central UT), an overnight in Vegas to take the kids to Circus Circus and have dinner with my best friend, then back to San Diego. Now fixing various minor issues like drawer catches breaking (ruined the slides on one of them when it let loose), etc. I don't think Fleetwood used a single nail in the interior, but they must have created a staple shortage lol. Hope to do a few weekend trips in summer and early fall, as soon as it's ready to go.
Biggest problem is one of my slide toppers is wrapped unevenly, as a result of a thunderstorm in Wyoming. It was very windy, to where I was getting ready to pull of the road, when I heard a loud noise and could see the topper flapping in the mirror. Took the next exit, waited out the worst of the wind, then ran the slide in and out. It's still wound funny and flapped in the wind (especially during headwinds and crosswinds) the rest of the trip. Gotta get up on a ladder and see what I can do for it.
