Well we ran from Gustav today. We are up in Vidalia along the Mississippr River, about 100 miles or so north of Baton Rouge. We are at River View RV part, filling up fast. Anyone else out there in my shoes?

Glad to hear you got yourself out of the danger area. On so many boards today people are announcing they are staying put. It must be hard to leave so many possesions, but better to live to go back to it, than to stay and not be certain you would be safe. Prayers for all of you who have had to leave your homes. I hope you are all safe.

We are a little farther north at Tom sawyer's RV Park across from Memphis. We didn't come here to get away from Gustav - we had previous reservations and arrived a few days ago.

We are about a day's drive up I-55 from New Orleans. When we checked in they told us they had a lot of inquiries from down south. There were a number of new arrivals yesterday, but there are still a lot of empty spaces.

They say Gustav could top Katrina. I wouldn't stay in Gustav's path for anything. Hopefully, by the time it gets here (if it does come here), it will just be a little wind and rain.

Y'all stay safe.

I'm home in Jackson, Miss. I stayed at that park last year and it was pretty nice. Take a walk next to the river and see if you can de-stress some. Slough Daddy's is a good place to eat.

I'm in Texas City, TX, and the SKI-mobile is in the driveway ready to go. So very fortunate that we did not have to evacuate. Sometimes I wonder why we live on the Gulf Coast.

Tom Sawyer is a nice park. Not to many amenities, but the layout is real nice and the Mississippi River is magnificent. Don't forget to tour Elvis Land.

Try Leonard's BBQ. It was a feature on The Food Channel. We ate there and were very satisfied.

For all those who had to leave their homes because of Gustav, I hope and pray you and your families are safe and that when you return you will find no damage.

We are still at River View PV Park. There wa s meetring this morning at the office. There is no mantory evecualtion here. We've only had a little rain and not much rain. we're suppose to get 35 to 40 MPH with gust to 60. We filled up our fresh water tanks and ready for the storm. Thanks to everyone for their concern and prayers.

When we were at Tom Sawyer last January we tried The Rendevous (http://tinyurl.com/63srm8) for BBQ. WOW! Give it a try. Everyone stay safe.

We made plans to get out before they knew where the storm was going. We came up to the Allegro Service Center in Red Bay, Alabama, to get a couple of minor issues addressed (that's uptown for our down home - here to get some stuff fixed) while getting the coach (and us) potentially out of harms way. Of course what we need fixed is where they are backed up the most, in the paint department.

Offshore, glad to hear that you're out of there. Good luck to you.

Well now that the storm has gone through the middle of the gulf, lets see how the fuel prices will be affected. Sounds like there are possible two more. Glad everyone is doing well. We also lost shore power this evening, running on gen. The wind and rain has been coming down all evening, wind about 35 to 40. We'll make it.

Well the storm has come and gone. We will be heading to Lafayette LA tomorrow to our new RV home at Cajun Palms in henderson. We made it through without any damage, only a little inconvience. Thanks to all.

Hanna could be a blessing to the drought striken East coast. We need a lot of rain over here.
