Rose-Hulman is the school of her choice. It is a very impressive place with some really great kids and professors. We are very pleased so far.

He said if he did not care about his job, he would f...... Kill us. I was terrified! He said that 20 miles BACK we tried to run him off the road! Kinda hard since the last 20 miles was in a one lane work zone. We believe he was " coked up" or fell asleep and woke up to see us ahead. No horns.. Not a clue to what he was referring to 20 miles back. Unfortunately, our gun permits are not recognized in Ohio, and everything was locked in the safe. While holding back two dogs who had to go, and try to avoid the man's fist, I could not read the title on his door, etc. he followed us for 20 miles!!! He then sped past our door and backed into the center of the other semis. We were so shaken, rather than drive in front of him , we hung a sharp right and got back on the road. We called the Love's manager right away, but she said that no security cameras were in use. We drove home, straight to Buffalo, with no rest stop for the dogs, and with me shaking most of the way home. From now on, I am, and will be prepared and I hope to never have an irate individual in my face again. In the face of what happened yesterday in Virginia, you never know .. I would gladly deal with a pan handler. We have the utmost respect for truckers and always defer and keep right. Many truckers have helped us during our travels, so this incident has left us perplexed..

Oh My Goodness, Bob and Karen! That is incredible. I've luckily never encountered anything like that. I can't imagine how I would have reacted. That is just plain scary. You never know what you may encounter on the road. I guess that is the price we pay for living in a free society, although I think I'd like to see some of our fellow citizens be not so free.

Give the student the well wishes from a 1978 alumnus. That education served me well. Give the sponser my condolences. My, it has become expensive.

Dave, we are finding out that it is the top rated Engineering School for a good reason. We are very proud that she got in and trying hard to pay for it with her twin sister also starting college at Grove City in PA. I guess I should have been the one panhandling on I-70!

Too bad you had that kind of experience with a Trucker - you should have called His company- immediately !
I have my NRA sticker above my rear license plate. Maybe I should add one to the door as well.

I lived in Terre Haute after college, and my best friend there graduated from Rose-Hulman and is now on their board of directors. It is a very highly ranked small engineering school. I'd be proud for my child to graduate from there.

Then tell her to get the heck out of that ratty, smelly town. It hasn't changed a bit since I left 40 years ago except the restaurants are now taking up the sidewalks downtown.
