Thanks to all.....love the comments! The daughter may not be waiting until Tuesday - contractions have started but on a slow pace. Hope I make it home before the event!

Next May tenth I get to see my first grandchild (registered nurse) marry her regional airline pilot fiance. I'm very proud of her because they have already purchased a house (she lives there) in preparation for their married life.

I hope your grand children give you as much enjoyment as Denise and I get from our collection of grand children. Next spring we hope to travel back east to attend and visit.

We both hope your new arrival is healthy and happy.

We have nine, and we're raising two of them after my step daughter died. That sure ruins the feeling of being a "Grandfather"

But you never forget the first one! Ours is now 19 (one of the ones we're raising), he weighed 1lb 11oz at birth, and dropped to 1lb 9oz! Wife could hold him in one hand easily.

Kate and I where I guess lucky our first grandkids where twin girls, that way you don't have to wait your turn, you both get to hold one and then you just switch and hold the other one.

Congrarulations! My wife and I just experienced the birth of our first grandaughter as well! This month she is 4 months old and already she has two weeks of staying in our Southwind under her belt.
It's really great and it's only getting better.
