Totally agree with Jack!!!

This post is on-topic because if you do get a scam/spam call and you want to report them the the FCC under the Do Not Call List, you HAVE to provide the Gov't with the company's name, address, phone number, time, and date of the call...ARE YOU KIDDING ME?!!!

See: https://complaints.donotcall.gov/com...k.aspx?panel=2

I learned this when trying to report a repeat caller to my home phone.
Just try to get that info during the call...they know this and will hang-up on you.

And BTW, the teasing thing will sometime result in a vulgar and rude response from the caller...been there, done that

If you, or anyone else, didn't already know, you can report these phishing emails to Yahoo Security via this link:

Yahoo! Security Center: How do I report a phishing email or web site?

Already done, but thanks for posting the link. It is really helpful for people to report these. I just do it automatically, but lots of folks don't know. Reports can generally be sent to 'abuse@whateverEmailService.tld' In this case, 'abuse@yahoo.com' was the one I used. Don't expect any reply other than an automated confirmation of receipt, but know that they do take action on the reports.

It's worth mentioning that the abuse email should go to the email provider that the scammer is using to receive your response, not necessarily the provider listed in the 'From:' field. In my example above they were the same, but notice he specified the address to reply to him on in the body of the message. Often they are different.

I started using SpamFighter and don't see them often now. I never bother to read the garbage anyway.
