Here in Dallas it's 21 DF this morning. We are getting forecasts for 13 and 14 degree lows for Friday and Saturday mornings. I've never seen 13 degree temps. Thankfuly, no snow or rain is forecast. Keep warm everybody.

As far as I can tell there is no damage to the canvas. There is a slight seperation in the stitching, about 4 inches long next to where it is fastened to the MH top. That might be age related, I think the cavas is about 3 years old.

Yikes Ron, that's COLD. The only "teens" that should be in Florida should be on the beaches during spring break!

What kind of weather station do you use - I'm thinking about buying one.

OK, I just heard a report that this is a "Northern Hemisphere" deal, not just here in the US. The reporter talked about record cold and snow fall all across Europe and Asia.

My question is this: Will we now be asked to start finding ways to emit more carbon dioxide, to help warm things back up? Maybe I can start breathing faster.

Bob,

My weather station is a very cheap one I got on sale at Best Buy several years ago. It's a Weather Channel made by La Crosse, model 2310. It does everythhing I want and I have been happy with it

There are more expensive ones that upload data to the internet a little faster and probably do a few other things also such as a wireless wind indicator.

My Son bought me my first one, a La Crosse, for $99.00 at Sam's Club, but I had to buy a rain gage for $20.00. It was working good but quit uploading data to the intetnet. I later found that all that was wrong was my serial port in my computer had been fried.

Here is a sample of my information on Weather Underground

http://www.wunderground.com/weathers...?ID=KFLTAMPA42

It's nice to have a record of your weather, mine starts in 2006.

Thanks for that info, Ron. Looks pretty cool. I do have a La Crosse weather station too but it's much simpler being just a tabletop model, no computer interface etc. Forgot it was a La Crosse til you mentioned it. They have tons of models to choose from; will have to ponder the options.

Not to rub it in to you on the east coast. Todays high and low here in the Mojave Desert. 25 for a low this morning. 65 for the high this afternoon. 48 right now at 1830 hours local time. We are at an altitude of 2230 ft. Yeah we're cold in the morning but in short sleeves in the afternoon.

Cold?????

well - you might all have to move to VANCOUVER, BC (stands for Bring Cash). Next month we have the Winter Olympics... maybe in Grass Cutting? It's green and on the PLUS side, like every year!!!!

The ski areas have lots of snow.... They can keep it there!

ABC news sez the cold weather is from an "Arctic Blast".

Who owns the Arctic? Polar Bears?

Tonight, on the gulf Coast in Mississippi, we're going to a "0" degree chill factor--- ugh. There will be some RV frozen/broken water related parts around here tomorrow.

I'll bet the Casino's will be warm, and great food too- for almost nothing. Cindy's forgotten how to cook-
