The money pump failed on my RV last Thursday. It seems it had not been properly pumping money out of my wallet for some time.

A long process to troubleshoot the problem, remove the part, inspect it and contact parts suppliers for an immediate replacement request. While they had it out, they also found that the cash filter was clogged, which as we all know, would slow down the flow of cash. That problem has been cured, and the RV successfully pumped an easy $1,000 out of me yesterday.

I expect the new money pump will work rather well for some time. I have the part number if anyone needs it.

Here's a fix: Get a long cash tube, and connect it to the dollar reservoir of your neighbor's coach at the CG. The Prevost coaches usually have a huge coin tank as well. (Please note: The National Dolphin has an unusually tiny cash reservior, and the money pump is oversized, so the dollar reserves are usually dry.)

Mine has been clogged for about a month. Just waiting for the 12,000 mile Freightliner service.

I've got my own thanks, came with a lifetime guarantee to always function properly, almost as bad as a Harley, they aren't called HD (Hundred for everything) for no reason

That gives me an Idea! I didn't know there should be a filter on the Money Pump! I am going to install one right away , so may be the flow rate will slow down. Feels like mine has a 4 barrel on it.

Of course, being in Texas, the pump is bigger.
Three weeks ago, broke down, and $1.7k later fixed.
This week, Freightliner 15000 miles service (or 1 year whichever comes first) pumped another close to $2k

I'm just happy the tax pump here is small.

You thought RV stood for “Recreational Vehicle.”

What it really stands for is “Revenue Vacuum.”

I came up with a really good fix. Replace the High Eff pump with a cheaper low flow pump and put in a flow reducing valve just after the pump with a return line back to the cash reservoir. This should work, at least until the cheap zinc anode/drain plug for the cash reservoir rots out and dumps coin and cash all over the ground (have a bucket ready to catch as much as possible.)

Of coarse this will void your warranty, and the insurance will not reimburse any costs the dealer will over charge to reinstall the system to original speciation’s.

AW HECK!! I gave up tryin to fix our money pump and ended up simply rigging a "slobber tube" direct from the wallet to a main drain/dump system and also installed a few quick disconnects located around the coach so I could plug into the slobber tube drain system from almost anywhere. Works GREAT!!!

Being from Vermont, worlds largest producer of Maple syrup, we have figured out how to tap the money tree. We've also counteracted the money pit by planting money trees in those pits. Like our maple syrup ... life is sweet !!!
