An Irish Funeral Prayer
Death is nothing at all.
It does not count.
I have only slipped away into the next room.
Everything remains as it was.
The old life that we lived so fondly together is untouched, unchanged.
Whatever we were to each other, that we are still.
Call me by the old familiar name.
Speak of me in the easy way which you always used.
Put no sorrow in your tone.
Laugh as we always laughed at the little jokes that we enjoyed together.
Play, smile, think of me, pray for me.
Let my name be ever the household word that it always was.
Let it be spoken without effort
Life means all that it ever meant. It is the same as it ever was.
There is unbroken continuity.
Why should I be out of mind because I am out of sight?
I am but waiting for you, for an interval, somewhere very near, just around the corner.
All is well. Nothing is hurt; nothing is lost.
One brief moment and all will be as it was before.
How we shall laugh at the trouble of parting, when we meet again.

Rodney, we pray for you and your family during this difficult time. We lost our Mother 4 years ago and sometimes it still only seems like yesterday. We remember her loving ways and still have a lot of tearful laughter about some of the things that she would say and do. Mother's are truly a blessing and we are sorry for your loss.

Sorry for your loss our prayers are for you and your family.

Do not stand at my grave and weep
for I am not there. I do not sleep.
I am the thousand winds that blow.
I am the diamonds glint on fresh fallen snow.
I am the sunlight on ripening grain.
I am the gentle autumn rain.

When you awake in the morning hush,
I am the swift uplifting rush
of quiet birds in circling flight.
I am the soft stars that shine at night.
Do not stand at my grave and cry
for I am with you.
I did not die.

I have lost my mother, father, 2 brothers & my sister.
They are always with me, whereever I go!

Rodney, My deepest and sincere condolences to you and your family. I've lost my Mom and Dad and recently my wife so I can relate to your pain. Just relive all the beautiful memories you shared with her and you will survive. God bless her soul.
