I NEED Spring NOW!!

Not sure where the heated roof was you were talking about but speaking from my experience a heated roof is a recipe for disaster. Until I was able to keep the roof cold, even with the ice belt, I had ice dams and the icicles would be about 5' long. Last time I had it shingled I replaced the ice belts and also had water shield installed from the eaves to the peak. Also I don't have the option to install soffit and ridge vents since house is post and beam construction. It was built about 1773 by my wife's family (we are the 8th generation living here). BTW, lower section is the kitchen and family room. .

Like I said, I NEED Spring NOW!!!

Bob,

A grand old house with a fine family history. Keeping it up and shining must be a chore and a labor of love. Improvements need to be approached with temperance and an eye to the future.

Spring will come shortly with its blossoms and bounty and lead you along into summer toward another falls specticle. I would still be living up there off the banks of the Merrimac if my bones could take it.

It really is. But after a long hard winter I wish they would have built it in the south.


Must admit signs of mud season/spring are here. Last week the 2 storms were rain and this week no storms in sight plus daytime temps are supposed to be above freezing.

Spring has come too soon for me. I had some bushes and trees to trim back but they are budding out so maybe next year. We had one snow this year a light one just barely covering the ground. We missed it as we were in Florida.

Ouch! That hurt... I was able to start the MH yesterday. I had to move it to allow another RV to get out of storage as he is heading south. It sure was tough to put it back in though. It is currently snowing as I am typing this. I agree, I also NEED SPRING NOW!

Well, I do drive it! And I can back it up better than he can. But I would have to come home sometime and pick up the pieces. Actually, I have decided I am takding a few girlfriends with me to AZ or TX sometime next winter. He can fly down and join me when he is ready.

Only 25 days left till we head north to Alaska. If we won't be warm, we will be rolling.
