I think I'm Damp Camping !

Not really dry camping, just no TV and now sewer, no club house.
We reserved a camping site and I did not read all the information-Well I read all of it but I did not see No sewers and no TV, I guess because it wasn't there.
So I wake today to day 3 with no TV, I am suprised all the little repair jobs I'm finding to do, that I have been Putting off.
Never really had to monitor the water usage before, I will try hard never to have to again!!

Sounds like most of the state parks we visit. The campfire replaced the TV, watching wood burn is more entertaining than most of the stuff on it anyway.

You can always read a good book or listen to NPR or some other entertainment on the radio. On TV, you missed the SciFi channel's movie, "Sharknado" about sharks dropping out of the sky and eating people. I'd prefer the campground.

Welcome to the family (check my surname!). Family history suggests originally French, from a village in Brittany called "Ampier". With the addition of a "d'' to indicate "from" in French, it became "d'Ampier" and eventually got Anglicized.

Another branch reckons our ancestors were locomotive men on the German railways or river steamers, and the German word for steam (dampf) became the family name and was also Anglicized.

All I can be sure of is that anyone with the name is related somehow. One relative was a coachman in Queen Victoria's household and emigrated to the US around 1900, settling in Wisconsin. He and his wife had 23 children, so there are a lot of people with the family name in that part of the US.

Life is tough. How long are you going to be there?

If you can see the southern sky, there is TV. If you have something with two to for wheels, there is water.

Yes, consider life managed to move forward before TV and it can proceed without a TV.

Spend some quality time together and really, really focus on one another. Spoil one another. Cherish each other. Appreciate your time together - sometimes it unexpectedly ends way too soon...
