I thought this was a joke!

Let me first say we are new to RVing and we truly love it.

I took our small class A (32') in for some warranty work at Camping World. This is the second visit for the same "small problem". After them having it twice for over 3 weeks still not done.

This visit I also asked to adjust my tire pressure, they want to charge $20. for this, I can do this at home but what the heck it's here... do it!

I checked the outer four tires when I got home just to see, they vary by 20psi, I sent the service desk person I worked with an email telling him there is no way they touched my tires.

Camping World's response:
I do apologize about the molding and tires. We are still waiting on that right sealant to come in, but it is on order. XXXX should have let you guys know when she checked you in that unfortunately we don't have the equipment to actually check big motor coach tires. Our air lines don't even get up to that psi level, so I do apologize that you were not let known of that fact. I will give you a call when the sealant comes in so we can get that molding finished. Look forward to continue doing business with you guys.

You can't make this stuff up! Marcus Lemonis wake up! You may know how to make money but your company has no idea what customer service is! All this comes from the top IMO.

Steve

Typical experience, about the same as what I've been through with CW

Wow. Pretty incredible from various perspectives. They said they could do it, charging $20 (!), then didn't do it (and still charged you?), and didn't tell you they didn't do it, then put something that stupid and telling in email. Wow.

After I explained my position on the warranty repair not done for the second time the service manager dropped the charge for air. Well I didn't get it anyway.

The service is what I find laughable at CW. They lose a ton of money with their customer service.

I call BS on the insufficient air at the shop. Seems like a shop to stay well away from. And report to the BBB.

What is scary is how many people ask or pay to have their tire pressure checked and put spot on and it isn't. This could create some unsafe vehicles rolling down the highway at 60+ Mph and weighing up to 50k lbs.

Btw: just received a flyer from CW yesterday and on one page they advertise to bring your rv in for a free tire check up.

At least they won't be charging for doing absolutely nothing!

Gee, sounds like you're talking about CW in Bartow FL. We took our previous MH in for various things. One was to clean and seal the roof. It was obvious when we picked it up that they hadn't touched it, but yes, they charged us for it. When DH brought it to the service advisor's attention, he did a tap dance for us trying to cover his you-know-what. Needless to say, we haven't been back.

And incredibly CW is one of the largest if not the largest RV dealers in the country. There service reputation seems legendary yet folks keep going back. I don't get it.

Well, it does say a pressure check, nothing about an adjustment.
I call BS on the inability to fill the tires too, Any shops air compressor is capable of filling to at least 125 PSI. I run my Quincy compressor in my shop at 165 PSI and regulate only one of the outlets down to 90.(it feeds most air plumbing)

Sad to say a chain of RV repair centers that adhered to a set of stringent standards and customer service, could make a LOT of money.
