You are correct. We live in the north west corner of AR and it is similar to MO. We have mountains, valleys, rivers, good hunting. One of the longest deer hunting seasons in the country. Good trout fishing. Mild winters, usually and not to hot for summers, usually.

Come and visit!!

BTW we are transplanted Yankee's. Been here about 30 years but few know we are Yankee's. I've learned to talk Arkie!!

Well I would trade you but I see your from Houston too close to the inlaws! We tend to like Texas more and will eventually move down there. Been in MO area all my life except a year and half I lived in Austin, TX. Getting tired of the weather.

Make sure you fuel up before entering Illinois. Missouri's gas tax is much lower than most states.

monkey,
You did notice that I qualified my statement with the word, "Usually." We reside out near the Beaver Lake Marina and yes we are retired.

When I finally get a few projects finished I hope to spend more time at the Beaver CG trout fishing. That a very neat CG and 1/2 off the regular rate is great (Golden Age Passport).

haha! Well, we are just south of Chicago now. Gonna push into there today for two days, then I am heading STRAIGHT BACK to the Mark Twain Forest for a week of chilling out!

My wife found some town that has a winery, and I think we are gonna try to make it there first. I forget the name, starts with an M i think - would ask her, but she's still asleep Off of 67 north of Lake Wapapella?

Then I think we are gonna shoot to Hot Springs for a bath and a massage, then back to Texas.
