I want my money back.

We are full timing for the 2nd year in Wesley Chapel, FL. It has rained hard for the past 21 days with more in the upcoming week. What happened to the "sunshine state" "sunny Florida"? The canals have turned into mini rivers.catfish swim down the roads. I'm going to the office and demand a refund. You think I have a chance?

No. It's the rainy season in Florida. Rains almost every day this time of year.

Why are you still in Florida in the summer? I wouldn't be if I didn't have to.

It is the "Liquid Sunshine State"

The first part of June someone told me it only rained twice so this year in Houston. The first was for 30 days and the second for 45 days.

I'm betting no chance at all since they don't control the weather. I know how you feel though. Maybe some huffing and puffing might work. It didn't for me when the rains hit us here in Texas. I guess there is fine print somewhere. The cg we made reservations in around Boerne, Tx was totally flooded out . They used the "caveat" of one week cancellation notice required. I did give them a bad cg review on rv park reviews, but no one reads these comments. Good luck. Maybe they might give you more of a discount but I'm betting no such luck. Keep us posted, please. I want to know how you succeeded and your results. It might come in handy for my use later.

Well the government down there (and up here where I am for that matter) will deny it but.

Climate Change or Global Warming

As the Earth gets hotter and hotter.. It takes less and less effort for the Sun to evaporate the Sea water (Also lakes, rivers, streams and ponds) up into the atmosphere. and as you know what goes UP must come DOWN (unless it exceeds escape velocity) so that water comes down as RAIN. Lots and Lots of it.

Eventually the Earth will cool down again as it has in the past then we (Or rather our many times great grandchildren) will be getting complaints about the ice in Florida.

As to what can be done about it (global warming) Though I have seen some research and do have an opinion, it's out of my field and I do not feel qualified to express same.

NOAA is saying CA will get record amounts this year due to a large El Nino, the most rain since 1950's. But then again they always miss what happens just three days from now.

NOAA:
Quote:
June 2015 was warmest June on record for the globe.

Global land areas and oceans each record warm for June.

First half of 2015 also record warm.
When NOAA says that, they are talking about fractions of degrees, but in the atmosphere, that is enough to cause weather changes. A tiny increment in the warm air in Florida means much more water evaporated off both coasts and then those clouds build upwards come over land and let loose. I remember Fla in July, you could set your clocks by the thunderstorms. Your just going to get a bit more now - could you bottle some up and ship it out West?

to the rain Gods and El Nino too. While I'm at it, we would love that beautiful tropical water you have off the right southern coast - our whales would not like it though.

Sure they float very well.......for 5 minutes.

Yes, it does rain everyday in the Florida summertime, but this year it has been: aberrant, aberrated, abnormal, anomalous, atypical, especial, exceeding, extraordinaire, extraordinary, freak, odd, peculiar, phenomenal, preternatural, rare, singular, uncommon, uncustomary, unique, unusual, unwonted wet.

Did I mention rainy?

Uh....OR it is a simple subtropical storm system now classified as an INVEST by the NWS (has a 10 percent chance of becoming a hurricane but significant high level wind shear will inhibit growth), as happens every year at this time of the year in Florida, and will continue throughout the hurricane season.

Hope this helps.
