But is it poor spelling or poor grammar?

And, yes it is sad to see what is coming out of our education system now. My mother was a teacher for 33 years and my father was for a short time too.

We are raising one of the grandkids and I can't believe what they aren't being taught anymore and just groomed to pass certain tests.

It's like people counting on their fingers.

A guy I talked to told me about getting a ride home (a few blocks) to his house from the dealership's 16 yr old daughter. When he got in her car she asked him what his address was so she could put it in her GPS. He said, "It's just down the road, Oliver street." She again asked for the address and he told her to just take a left out of the drive and he would direct her.

He had her turn twice, and then said, "I live in the blue house right there."

Her response: "Oh, our house is the white one there." Two houses down from him. She did not know what street she lived on and has a entry in her GPS to get home from school which is 6 blocks straight up from Oliver St.

Yep, pull out the calculator and the GPS and make them dumber.

If that note was from a "Teaching Academy" it would be even more sad.
